I always heard that beer was good for nursing mothers, but I never heard in what amount or what kind of beer, or why. LOVE the images, though. I collect vintage cookbooks! (Not for pics of the food — those are gross, usually, but for the illustrations.)
Guinness still advertisers in the UK that their beer is good for breastfeeding mothers.
And bacon pancakes? Aunt Jemima didn’t know how ahead of her times she was. A trailblazer, I tell ya!
